How does my cultural identity and childhood experiences impact my life today?

Being born and raised in Vietnam, my culture greatly impacts who I am today. From incorporating different significant elements from Vietnamese culture such as the lotus, the clothing, or the food, to simply depicting the emotions I feel everyday as an international student at an American boarding school, this theme has been my greatest muse. Everything about Vietnamese culture has been built upon so much love and beauty, and centering my art around it has been my way of giving intentional gratitude to the people who allowed me to become who I am today.
