My sustained investigation explores my question, "How can people express themselves through fashion?" I wanted to create photos of people representing fashion reflecting on who they are in many different ways. I was curious because I noticed how much personality and meaning come through even with small details like shoes, jewelry, religion, and clothing. Through this project, I found it interesting and have learned that what people wear is deeply personal and different from everyone.
My investigation shows practice by photographing people in many different settings, like mountains, bedrooms, streets, etc. I experimented by printing photos on shirts and capturing full and detailed looks. I revised my photos by re-shooting images, like the bracelet photo and the snowboarding photo with the snow against the black outfit to get the right angle and light. I also have learned different ways to edit photos like masking on the skier with the orange pants. All these choices have helped express themselves through fashion.
