How do my experiences with different cultures, places, and communities influence the way I see the world around me?

As a Third Culture Kid raised across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, San Francisco, and Hawaii, I see identity as layered and fluid—shaped by language, food, rituals, and the feeling of both belonging and in-betweenness.

Through oil paint, papier-mâché, acrylic, and zerox transfer collage, I explore how everyday objects become vessels of memory. I’m drawn to the quiet rituals of daily life—shared meals, kombini snacks, the glow of a familiar storefront—that show how culture lives in small, intimate details. These works reflect how culture lives not only in grand traditions but in the quiet details—what we eat, how we gather, what we remember.
