Sadly, She’s No Longer a 10 explores the complex realities of girlhood and womanhood—the fears, expectations, and harsh judgments women face from society and themselves. Each piece in this collection, made with charcoal, encaustic wax, transferware, and collage, reflects a different facet of that experience.

Girlhood captures daily fear through a distressed face and golden tears—precious, but heavy. Pearly Whites uses bleeding, distorted teeth in wax to show the pain behind beauty standards. Baby Girl, on hand-built ceramic, reveals the physical and emotional transformation of motherhood, and the pressure to remain unchanged. The final collage, [Title TBD], layers vintage misogynistic ads to highlight how media has long shaped toxic ideals of femininity.

This series invites viewers to reflect on the cost of these expectations—and the quiet strength it takes to carry them.
